Prague

The capital of the Czech Republic is regularly ranked among the most beautiful cities in the world. Foreign visitors appreciate not only the diverse architecture, rich history, excellent food and drink, and wide range of activities, but also the friendly atmosphere that greets them and the sense of safety that the city offers.

One of Prague’s great advantages is its extensive integrated transport network with frequent connections, making it easy to visit all the highlights. But if you’d rather soak up the charm of the old streets, you can explore on foot, as the city center is easily navigable by walking.

TIP: A day in Prague

If you’re only visiting Prague for a short time, don’t miss the beauty of the Old Town. Start early to beat the crowds and see the Astronomical Clock in the Old Town Square, then walk across Charles Bridge and through Malostranské náměstí to Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral.

On your way back, you can take a route through Loretánské náměstí and the Petřín Tower, or walk along and enjoy the stunning panoramic views of Prague. This route is about five kilometres long.

If you have more time and energy, you can visit Vyšehrad, Wenceslas Square, the National Museum, the National Gallery, the Prague Zoo – one of the most beautiful zoos in the world – or take a boat trip on the Vltava River.
