ISU World Figure Skating Championships return to the Czech Republic after 33 years

About

The ISU World Figure Skating Championships is an annual event featuring 200 of the world’s best figure skaters from 50 countries competing in four disciplines: men’s, women’s, pairs and ice dance. The Championships attract tens of thousands of fans to the host city each year and are watched by more than 300 million viewers around the world. In March 2026, Prague’s O2 arena will be the venue for the world’s medals.

For the third time in history (after 1962 and 1993), Prague will become the centre of world figure skating. The ISU European Figure Skating Championships were also held here (1948). After the success of the 2017 ISU European Championships in Ostrava, the World Junior Championships and a series of ISU Junior Grand Prix events, including the final, the Czech Figure Skating Association is ready to reach a new milestone. Get ready for excitement, elegance and stories that will make history.
