About championships

The ISU World Figure Skating Championships® Return to Prague After 33 Years!

The ISU World Figure Skating Championships® is an annual event that features 200 of the world’s top figure skaters from 50 countries competing in four disciplines: women’s singles, men’s singles, pairs, and ice dance. Each year, the championship attracts tens of thousands of fans to the host city, with over 300 million viewers tuning in on television. In March 2026, Prague’s O2 arena will set the stage for the battle for world medals.

For the third time in history (following 1962 and 1993), Prague will become the epicenter of world figure skating. Following the successful ISU European Figure Skating Championships 2017 in Ostrava, the ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships, and several ISU Junior Grand Prix events, including the Final, the Czech Figure Skating Association is ready to take on this new milestone. Get ready for the thrill, elegance, and unforgettable stories that will create history.
